Job Summary:

The Department of Surgical Sciences at the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor position in Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery.

The successful candidate will join the Orthopedic Surgery Section, which is comprised of experienced faculty members, residents, and certified veterinary technicians. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic surgery and a commitment to teaching and research.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical service in the teaching hospital
  • Participate in clinical and didactic teaching of veterinary students, residents, and interns
  • Pursue clinical research and develop an independent research program
  • Lead resident-based or student-based rounds and conduct student case-based rounds
Requirements:
  • Terminal degree in veterinary medicine or equivalent
  • Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons or board-eligible
  • Experience working with diverse groups, including interns, residents, undergraduate students, veterinary professional students, and graduate students
