Fiber Optic Network Specialist

We're a rapidly growing regional fiber optic communications company, Loop Internet, building a state-of-the-art network that connects hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses with incredible speeds.

This network will create opportunities for those utilizing it, and we're looking for a skilled Communications Lineman to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair fiber optic lines that run above or below ground.
  • Install 1/4" messenger strand and lash/overlash fiber optic lines and MST's.
  • Attend to call-outs and perform repairs in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Report progress, complications, concerns, and delays to the supervisor.
  • Clear away tree branches near fiber lines.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Lineman or similar role.
  • Extensive experience with climbing gear, aerial lifts, tensioners, guying.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of cabling diagrams, as well as electrical and building codes.
  • Superb troubleshooting abilities.
  • Great organizational and time-management skills.
  • Relevant safety training and/or certifications.
