Job Summary

Astound Broadband is seeking a skilled NOC Technician to join our team. As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing our national voice, data, and video network, providing technical support and troubleshooting services to ensure seamless network operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage network elements, including DWDM, circuit and packet switching, Frame Relay, T1, T3, SONET equipment, VoIP, GPON, microwave, fiber multiplexers, optical equipment, routers, and customer premise devices.
  • Work closely with IP network, switch, and fiber transport engineers, as well as field technicians and outside plant construction teams.
  • Utilize network monitoring tools and element management systems to detect and resolve service-impacting events.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, providing high-level customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical degree, relevant certifications, or equivalent work experience acceptable.
  • Knowledge of ITIL best practices, including monitoring and event management, incident management, change management, and problem management processes.
