Job Overview

Position Summary:

Avenu Insights & Analytics is in search of a Cloud Solutions Architect to spearhead the design, deployment, and integration of intricate enterprise cloud infrastructures. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge in cloud design, middleware technologies, and enterprise IT frameworks. This position is critical in ensuring high performance, security, and cost-effectiveness across diverse cloud platforms, including ERP, EAM, HCM, and CIS providers. The Cloud Solutions Architect will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to foster innovation, facilitate infrastructure transitions, and uphold stringent security and compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the architecture and integration of multiple sophisticated enterprise cloud infrastructures, focusing on performance, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Guide the selection and implementation of middleware cloud management technologies.
  • Evaluate the technological landscape, document requirements, create a collaborative framework, design solution prototypes, and engage in the selection of appropriate solutions.
  • Manage the deployment, configuration, and upkeep of cloud infrastructure, encompassing virtual machines, networking, storage, and security protocols.
  • Establish and maintain robust security measures, identity and access management, and compliance standards across cloud environments in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
  • Monitor and enhance cloud resources to guarantee efficient usage, cost-effectiveness, and superior performance.
  • Conduct ongoing system health assessments, assist with incident resolution, and perform root cause analyses.
  • Ensure business continuity through comprehensive backup and recovery procedures and conduct regular testing of outage scenarios.
  • Engage and collaborate professionally with colleagues at all organizational levels.
  • Support infrastructure migrations to cloud environments and identify on-premises technologies alongside their cloud equivalents.
  • Coordinate integration testing as part of release management across various cloud platforms.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in designing, executing, and supporting IT cloud solutions.
  • Possession of at least one of the following certifications:
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
    • OCM Oracle Certified Master
    • Equivalent Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Advanced understanding of networking principles and cloud networking services.
  • Experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in administering, designing, and engineering cloud solutions.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of cloud technology and enterprise IT systems.
  • Proven experience in implementing and configuring cloud middleware.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Experience deploying infrastructure as code using AWS CloudFormation templates, Azure ARM templates, Chef, Terraform, or other automation tools.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Experience with operating systems and software upgrade planning and execution.
  • Fundamental knowledge of and experience in a DevOps or Jira-centric environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate as the employee operates in an office setting, at an individual workstation, utilizing telephone and computer.


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of the day.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine.
  • This position requires occasional movement within the office.
  • The individual in this role frequently communicates via telephone.
