Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control (QC) Technician for our operations who will report directly to the QC Supervisor. This role involves conducting laboratory analyses on a diverse range of products while meticulously documenting and reporting findings.

The position necessitates the flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific evaluations utilizing both standard and specialized techniques in adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Processes and analyzes laboratory samples efficiently.
  • Documents test results, organizes data, performs basic calculations, and compiles reports and analyses following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Provides technical assistance to Manufacturing and R&D teams as required.
  • Actively engages in the local safety program, ensuring a safe and orderly laboratory environment.
  • Operates, maintains, and repairs laboratory testing equipment, systems, and supplies.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Ability to adhere to safety standards while working in a laboratory setting with potentially hazardous materials.
  • Willingness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suits, and full-face respirators.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory environment, including knowledge of analytical or scientific methods.
  • Proficient in operating standard computer-controlled laboratory instruments.
  • Meticulous in maintaining written and/or electronic records.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry principles.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and high professional standards.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to comply with all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with NMR and ICP techniques.
