Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control (QC) Technician for our Baton Rouge, LA facility, reporting directly to the QC Supervisor. In this role, you will conduct laboratory testing on a diverse range of products and meticulously document and report your findings.

This position requires the flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific evaluations utilizing both standard and specialized techniques while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Processes and analyzes laboratory samples with precision.
  • Documents test results, organizes data, performs basic calculations, and compiles reports and analyses following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Provides technical assistance to Manufacturing and R&D teams as necessary.
  • Actively participates in the local safety program and maintains a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Operates, maintains, and repairs laboratory testing equipment, apparatus, systems, and supplies.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Must adhere to safety protocols while working in a laboratory setting with potentially hazardous materials.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suits, and full-face respirators.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory environment, including knowledge of analytical or scientific methods.
  • Proficient in operating standard computer-controlled laboratory instruments.
  • Meticulous in maintaining written and/or electronic records.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry principles.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and high professional standards.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to comply with all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while also being a collaborative team member.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with NMR and ICP techniques.
