Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quality Control (QC) Technician for our operations who will report directly to the QC Supervisor. The successful candidate will be tasked with conducting laboratory analyses on a diverse range of products, meticulously documenting and reporting the outcomes.

This role necessitates the flexibility to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific evaluations utilizing both standard and specialized techniques while adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Processes and analyzes laboratory samples efficiently.
  • Documents test results, organizes data, performs fundamental calculations, and prepares comprehensive reports and analyses in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Provides technical assistance to Manufacturing and R&D teams as required.
  • Actively engages in the local safety program, ensuring a safe and organized laboratory environment.
  • Operates, maintains, and repairs laboratory testing equipment, systems, and supplies.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Must adhere to safety protocols while working in a laboratory setting with potentially hazardous materials.
  • Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suits, and full-face respirators.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with a strong understanding of analytical or scientific methodologies.
  • Proficient in operating standard computer-controlled laboratory instruments.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate written and/or electronic records.
  • Basic knowledge of chemistry principles.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and maintains high professional standards.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills along with exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
  • Exhibits excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Complies with all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also collaborating effectively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing laboratory setting.
  • Familiarity with NMR and ICP techniques.
