About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our team at The Goddard School. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment that fosters the growth and development of our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a Positive Learning Environment: Collaborate with the lead teacher to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive growth in our students.
  • Support Student Development: Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote learning and development, while also providing individualized support to students as needed.
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring open communication and a sense of community within the school.
  • Work as Part of a Team: Collaborate with the lead teacher and other faculty members to achieve common goals and ensure a smooth operation of the school.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen actively and respond constructively.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work productively without supervision, demonstrate empathy and compassion for young children, and be dependable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in connection with handling children and facilitating programs.
