Position Overview

The Customer Relationship Liaison is responsible for nurturing relationships with existing accounts and ensuring that patients receive the necessary equipment for their home healthcare requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for designated accounts.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly.
  • Collaborate with clients and referral sources regarding product offerings and required equipment.
  • Collect and organize all necessary documentation for processing.
  • Manage follow-up activities post account setup.
  • Oversee all transactions related to assigned accounts, including referrals.
  • Ensure all documentation for orders is accurately processed, including service scheduling and billing.
  • Communicate with patients to confirm orders and clarify any financial responsibilities prior to delivery.
  • Assess patient needs and promote relevant company products/services during visits.
  • Proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot concerns with medical groups and related departments.
  • Assist medical groups in understanding available products and services.
  • Support the transition process for members related to capitation changes.
  • Coordinate patient services with healthcare providers.
  • Build and strengthen strategic relationships within healthcare institutions to enhance patient care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Conduct timely follow-ups on authorizations to ensure product/service reimbursement.
  • Follow up on outstanding medical necessity forms and prescriptions.
  • Instruct patients on the proper use of medical equipment as permitted by state regulations.
  • Respond to urgent calls and related needs during business hours and on-call.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Customer Care Center and/or Branch Customer Service Team for timely discharges.
  • Utilize a personal vehicle in accordance with job requirements.
  • Set up and deliver home healthcare products and services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of hire.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to all personal vehicle operation requirements.
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development to remain qualified for the role.
  • Must reside within the assigned territory.

Certificates and Licenses

  • Valid Driver's License required.

Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including using hands for typing and handling equipment, reaching, kneeling, and communicating effectively. The employee must be able to travel as necessary and may need to lift items up to 40 pounds.

Work Environment

The position involves minimal exposure to hazardous conditions, with a typical noise level ranging from low to moderate. The employee will operate a vehicle in various weather conditions and may be required to adhere to safety protocols.
