Responsibilities:
As a CT Imaging Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Operating CT machinery to capture detailed cross-sectional images of patients' anatomy.
- Positioning patients effectively for scans, utilizing necessary immobilization and protective measures.
- Adjusting equipment settings and monitoring both the machinery and patient during procedures.
- Assisting radiologists during imaging and interventional procedures, including starting IVs and administering contrast as required.
- Evaluating the quality of CT images and ensuring proper labeling and sequencing.
- Scheduling patient appointments and managing related clerical tasks.
- Documenting procedures and supplies used in patient records.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, adhering to national patient safety standards.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- A minimum of eighteen months of experience in a healthcare environment as a CT Imaging Specialist.
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification.
- Licensure as required by state regulations.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
