About the Role:

We are looking for a part-time Dietary Aide to assist our cook and supervisor with food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
  • Deliver residents' meal carts, set and clean assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
  • Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
  • Wash and store dishes; adhere to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
  • Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 1 year food service experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the community.
  • Has a desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents, understanding their special needs.
  • Must be able to follow directions and follow through on assignments.
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • ServSafe is desirable.
Education:

High school diploma or GED degree.

Competencies:
  • Positive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Team player.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Salary:

$14.00 an hour.
