SGI Global, LLC is looking for a dedicated CWMD Watch Officer to enhance the efforts of the Department of Homeland Security's Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD) and its Watch Operations. This role is crucial in the coordination, analysis, and dissemination of vital operational information concerning chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear (CBRN), and medical incidents on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities- The Watch Officer will oversee all functions related to the CWMD Watch desk.
- Responsibilities include receiving and analyzing information, as well as drafting analytical products.
- Utilization of the CWMD Emergency Notification System to alert personnel in accordance with established protocols.
- Continuous monitoring and evaluation of information, including classified data, related to CBRN and medical incidents.
- Providing situational awareness and coordination of worldwide events within the CBRN and medical mission scope, while preparing operational analytic reports for CWMD leadership.
- Maintaining an understanding of all-source information capabilities relevant to CBRN and medical operations.
- Developing high-quality operational analysis products that align with the CWMD mission.
- Conducting license checks for alarms and presenting findings during alarm events.
- Documenting and maintaining records of alarms and performing NRC license checks.
- Collaborating with various Federal Interagency partners and DHS Components, including CWMD Liaisons.
- An Associate's degree in a relevant field such as Homeland Security, health, or CBRN.
- A minimum of four years of experience in military, law enforcement, or intelligence operations.
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability and possession of a TS/SCI clearance is required.
- Certification in accordance with the Desk Officer Certification Program must be achieved within two months of employment.
