Job Title: Claims Manager

Artera Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Claims Manager to join our team. As a Claims Manager, you will be responsible for managing general liability claims while under the general supervision of the Senior Claims Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive initial notification of claims and guide employees on how to properly manage the circumstances.
  • Investigate claims for cause, compensability, and liability.
  • Track the receipt of the appropriate paperwork for all claims, set up claim files, and enter information into the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) upon receipt.
  • Oversee reporting of claims to Artera Corporation's insurance carriers.
  • Negotiate, settle, and process payments for nominal claims.
  • Responsible for managing third-party subrogation claims for which the company is not liable.
  • Prepare operations and risk reports for management analysis.
  • Respond to inquiries and complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, and members of the business community.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma. Significant post-secondary course work.
  • 4 + years general liability claims and/or construction safety.
  • General computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of general liability coverage.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
  • 7+ years multi line coverage with or for a construction company.
