Job Title: Dog Trainer

Join Petco as a Dog Trainer and be part of a team that is passionate about providing exceptional pet care and customer service. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering positive dog training classes and workshops to pet owners, while also promoting Petco's Positive Dog Training Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality dog training classes and workshops to pet owners
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to pet owners
  • Promote Petco's Positive Dog Training Program and services
  • Work closely with store management and staff to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest dog training techniques and methodologies
Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform all duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Must successfully complete Petco's Dog Training Instructor Program course and associated onboarding
  • Must adhere to DTIP training schedule as set forth by Dog Training Mentor
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Work Environment:

The majority of job duties are conducted indoors, although merchandise stocking and customer carry-outs will require that an associate leave the store briefly. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 pounds, as necessary) and standing for long periods of time.
