Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects, acting as a liaison between our institution and external stakeholders.
  • Inspect, document, and report on project activities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare progress reports and participate in project meetings and conferences.
  • Critically evaluate plans and specifications, making recommendations for changes and seeking approval from relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, including design, permitting, and construction phases.
  • Plan projects, including securing architectural and engineering services, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage project design and construction, overseeing design professionals and general contractors.
  • Enforce existing policies and regulations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes.
  • Provide supervision for testing and inspection contracted through outside agencies.
  • Oversee project commissioning, submission of warranty information, and final inspection.
Requirements
  • A four-year degree in construction, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial or relevant project management experience.
  • Strong organizational and technical writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Maryland state, Federal, and local building codes and life safety requirements.
  • Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Working Environment

Project assignments will dictate the amount of time spent in an office or at a particular job site location. Local travel and a valid driver's license are required. This position is considered essential.
