About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the overall financial management of our firm, including day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings, based on past, present and expected operations.
  • Financial Management: Oversee and direct accounting, budgeting, funding, audit, tax, financial forecasting, reporting, and collections for the firm.
  • Cash Management: Manage the Firm's cash across multiple bank accounts, monitoring the activity of each account daily to ensure that there are proper balances to meet operating needs.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Review general ledger detail and make journal entries as needed, produce monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Strategic Planning: Analyze, approve and implement all accounting procedures and automated financial information systems improvements to drive best practices.
  • Business Development: Maintain existing banking relationships and strategic alliances with vendors and business partners.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare data for and process the 401(k) profit sharing calculation, annual tax reporting to outside CPA firm to ensure accurate and timely preparation of the firm's federal income tax return.
  • Financial Presentations: Appraise the firm's financial position and deliver presentations on firm's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.
  • Cost Analysis: Develop and analyze costs for proposed new areas of practice and potential mergers.
  • Departmental Policies: Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • System Implementation: Review and implement new systems, methodologies, and controls to enhance efficiencies, safeguard financial assets, and the security of records.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelors or Master's degree in finance or accounting.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of senior level management experience.
  • LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE: **MUST HAVE LAW FIRM EXPERIENCE**.
