Overview


US Oncology, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our team. This role will be instrumental in supporting the Radiation Department.

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule, offering a supportive environment without the demands of weekends, on-call duties, or major holidays.

Sign-On Bonus:
A sign-on bonus of $2,500.00 is available for this position.

Role of the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN)


Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) delivers professional nursing care for patients, adhering to national and organizational standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.

The RN must recognize the physical, psychological, and spiritual dimensions of care and actively participate in quality initiatives across the organization. Compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care in line with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding their current condition and medical history.
  • Evaluate patient and family needs, providing educational resources and support.
  • Offer psychosocial support to patients and their families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and enhance patient care.
  • Manage patient medication refill requests and document relevant information in patient records.
  • Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests, referrals, and future appointments for patients.
  • Triage patient phone calls as necessary and document pertinent information in patient charts.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, coordinating services related to patient care.
  • Assist patients in accessing available community resources.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional teams.
  • Serve as a resource for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) position will possess the following qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Open to entry-level, mid-level, or senior candidates.
  • Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
