Job Title: Precision Ag Professional

Join Parallel Ag, a leading provider of precision agriculture solutions, as a Precision Ag Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and growing our precision agriculture business, driving the strategic direction of our precision technology business, and implementing and managing cutting-edge agricultural technologies to optimize farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand and enhance the precision agriculture business, including sales growth targets and market penetration plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of precision technology specialists, ensuring guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate precision technology solutions with other aspects of the agricultural business, such as agronomy, equipment, and data management.
  • Implement and manage precision agriculture technologies, including GPS guidance systems, variable rate technology, and remote sensing tools.
  • Collaborate with farmers to assess their specific needs and develop customized precision farming solutions tailored to their operations.
  • Conduct on-site demonstrations and training sessions to educate farmers on the utilization of precision agriculture equipment and software.
  • Analyze data collected from precision agriculture tools to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in agricultural technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance farm productivity and sustainability.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to farmers to ensure the seamless operation of precision agriculture systems.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage the department budget, track financial performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize profitability and efficiency.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of precision agriculture technologies, ensuring quality control and adherence to industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Prefer Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience working with precision agriculture technologies, such as GPS guidance systems, drones, and precision planting equipment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused mindset and the capacity to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to develop and execute business plans and initiatives effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze agronomic data.
