Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll perform advanced technical problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. You'll be responsible for technical decisions, possess excellent knowledge in functional discipline, and have detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage, and implement engineering analysis, activities, and programs. Provide technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. Perform engineering tasks as assigned by supervision, applying engineering principles. Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work, ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications. Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses in support of technical projects and programs. Recommend equipment, new concepts, and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
Requirements
For this role, we're looking for a B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years of nuclear or related engineering experience. For Senior and Senior Staff Engineer levels, we require a B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 7+ years of engineering experience or 10+ years of engineering experience, respectively. Professional Engineer Registration and advanced technical degrees or related coursework are preferred.
