PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This role involves advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support the operations of nuclear facilities. The position requires making informed technical decisions and demands a thorough understanding of the relevant functional discipline and its practical applications, as well as a detailed knowledge of industry codes and regulations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver comprehensive technical expertise to develop, oversee, and execute engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
  • Offer technical guidance and consultation through direct engagement to identify and resolve equipment and system issues.
  • Manage engineering tasks effectively, ensuring accountability for the resolution of engineering challenges.
  • Execute engineering assignments as directed by supervisors, applying established engineering principles.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and initiatives.
  • Propose equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques aimed at enhancing performance, simplifying construction processes, reducing costs, rectifying design or material deficiencies, or ensuring compliance with evolving codes or regulations.

*This Engineering position can be filled at the Mid-level, Senior, or Senior Staff Engineer level. Please refer to the minimum qualifications outlined below for each level*

Expected salary range:

Mid-level: $88,000

Senior Level: $132,000

Senior Staff Level: $142,000

Salary ranges are annual and based on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Mid-level Engineer

  • B.S. in Engineering and 2+ years of experience in Nuclear or related engineering fields

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Engineer

  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with 7+ years of engineering experience

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior Staff Engineer

  • B.S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer with 10+ years of engineering experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineer Registration
  • Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework
