Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure pharmacy compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
  • Supervise pharmacy staff regarding scheduling, procurement, clinical issues, and other responsibilities
  • Collaborate with pharmacy management to execute daily operations and implement quality and cost-effective strategies
  • Work alongside pharmacy and regional teams to provide necessary clinical and technical support
  • Address pharmaceutical inquiries from clients and pharmacy personnel, interpreting their needs and providing guidance
  • Maintain an accurate patient database, including relevant medical history, clinical data, and current medications
  • Document all communications with healthcare professionals and patients in the pharmacy system
  • Obtain and maintain required documentation in accordance with regulatory agencies and corporate compliance policies
  • Develop and enforce policies for the safe handling, storage, distribution, and disposal of pharmaceuticals
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • Required: Degree in Pharmacy
  • Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D)

Experience:

  • Required: Experience in pharmacy practice
  • Preferred: Background in long-term care pharmacy

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Required: Familiarity with pharmacy laws and regulations relevant to long-term care and pharmaceutical practices; proficiency in computer usage

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Required: Valid pharmacy license in the state of practice

Behavioral Competencies:

  • Required: Strong organizational and planning skills; attention to detail; goal-oriented; teamwork; customer service; effective oral communication

Salary Range

USD $65.00 - $68.00 per hour
