Position Overview:
The Junior Mechanical Engineer will engage in professional engineering tasks both in the field and office settings, overseeing the contributions of junior engineers, technicians, inspectors, and surveyors involved in various engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, the incumbent will:
  • Develop engineering designs, schematics, and specifications.
  • Prepare estimates regarding labor, materials, and equipment necessary for construction and maintenance.
  • Provide engineering assistance to operational teams.
  • Conduct assessments of existing conditions and analyze processes through data collection and evaluation.
  • Identify and resolve issues to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and specifications.
  • Supervise the creation of detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
  • Assign and review tasks for subordinate staff and consultants.
  • Determine resources needed for project completion.
  • Review plans and specifications submitted by staff and contractors.
  • Verify safety and quality standards for engineering projects.
  • Prepare and oversee a variety of technical reports and documentation.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Prepare bid documents and analyze proposals.
  • Facilitate meetings and deliver presentations.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional engineering experience, including two (2) years in a role equivalent to an Assistant Engineer or higher.

AND
  • Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Information:
Some positions may require physical capabilities such as lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions. Flexibility in work schedules, including weekends and overtime, may be necessary.
