Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inpatient Nursing Supervisor to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our ICU team, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and supervision to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement effective nursing care plans, ensuring patient needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
  • Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
  • 2 years of direct experience as a Registered Nurse in an ICU setting.
  • Current RN licensure in New Mexico or reciprocal agreement.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire nursing staff.
