About the Role

This position is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, product design, materials, and parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Integrate industrial control panels, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic components for automated water treatment equipment and pump controls.
  • Wire electrical panels and electrical devices using small hand tools and measuring devices.
  • Perform point-to-point panel QA/QC.
  • Read and understand assembly drawings.
  • Continuously build technical depth of Chart water processes.
  • Integrate and wire components, panels, and assemblies, including PLCs, motors, drives, and power supplies.
  • Assist with equipment installation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Technical school, a plus.
Work Environment
  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance.
  • Occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; kneel, crouch, or crawl; hear and talk.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Professional Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience in assembly of electrical/mechanical components and systems.
  • Demonstrated experience reading schematics and understanding assembly drawings.
  • Some exposure or experience to troubleshooting control systems, a plus.
  • Must have a team player mindset.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime, as needed, including weekends.
