Electrical Assembler Job Description

Aspen Aerials, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reading electrical schematics and diagrams to wire 12-volt DC safety, control, and auxiliary systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make connections in electrical switches with various wires, electrical cables, and connectors.
  • Install and connect appropriate wiring to components in the platform.
  • Install and connect appropriate wiring for all lighting systems to include strobe lights, boom lights, basket lighting, chassis lighting, trailer lighting, camera systems, and any customer-requested lighting systems.
  • Fabricate and install brackets and mounting hardware to install any of the above accessories.
  • Troubleshoot, fix, and document any problems that arise from the electrical part of the installation of any component.
  • Ensure all work is done in accordance with drawings, Aspen Aerials' specifications, and the specifications of the manufacturers' components.
  • Complete daily timecards with appropriate time, job, and task numbers.
  • Maintain the workplace and keep work area in a neat, clean, orderly, and well-kept manner.
  • Follow all safety procedures as outlined in Aspen Aerials Safety Manual.

Requirements:

  • General mechanical capability.
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering drawings.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform functional tests.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to operate a wide variety of hand and power tools.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Class B driver's license.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

Working Conditions:

Factory environment, working on or around trucks and occasional outside work environment. Working conditions include crawling on, under, and around trucks and mobile hydraulic equipment. Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
