Research Focus
This role involves engaging in innovative studies aimed at developing novel oncolytic adenovirus-based treatments for cancer. The successful candidate will focus on viro-immunotherapy, integrating virotherapy with immunotherapy through the use of oncolytic adenoviruses and their combination with other immunotherapeutic approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute research studies targeting cancer therapeutics, with a focus on:
a) Development of viral vector-based cancer treatments,
b) Analysis of immunological impacts and their synergy with immunotherapies,
c) Examination of metabolic factors influencing cancer progression.
Responsibilities include conducting in vitro and in vivo immunological assessments, designing and constructing complex viral vector systems, and employing various molecular biology techniques for evaluating developed therapeutics. Additionally, the role involves data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings through reports and publications.
Research Development
- Contribute to the generation of innovative research ideas and project proposals.
Participate actively in weekly lab meetings and one-on-one discussions with the Principal Investigator to foster collaborative research efforts.
Scientific Communication
- Prepare and present research findings at scientific meetings, including writing abstracts for submission and presenting accepted work.
Publication
- Draft and submit manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals, ensuring high-quality scientific communication.
Qualifications
Required:
- PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Experience in Molecular Genetics, Molecular Biology, Medical Biotechnology, or Immunology.
- Proven track record of managing scientific projects independently and collaboratively.
- Strong commitment to conducting high-level research.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in gene delivery, therapeutic genetic interventions, and development of novel therapeutic strategies.
- Strong publication record, particularly as a first author in peer-reviewed journals.
