About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated researcher to join our Nephrology Division's basic science program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacogenomics and laboratory-based preclinical and translational research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research in pharmacogenomics and identify mechanisms of both native and allograft kidney loss to develop new drug targets for therapeutic intervention and diagnostic biomarkers.
  • Develop an interdisciplinary, extramurally funded research program to identify mechanisms of viral persistence in tissue reservoirs of HIV infection.
  • Collaborate with the College of Pharmacy to develop new clinical cohorts for pharmacogenomics, biomarkers, and drug target discovery.
  • Train future scientists and pharmacy students.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral and post-doctoral research training in pharmacogenomics and laboratory-based preclinical and translational research.
  • Record of external research funding.
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain your legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
