Job Description

The Scribe Tech is responsible for:

Key Responsibilities
  • Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner.
  • Assisting physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures.
  • Directing patient flow, inventory, and following up on labs.
  • Ensuring site lab compliance with Department of Health (DOH) Regulations.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, adhering to established protocols and work processes.
Essential Functions
  • Managing a minimum of two patients per hour on average and up to three to four patients per hour during surge periods.
  • Assisting physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures, including phlebotomy, Urine Drug Screens, rapid point of care testing, UA, EKG, and procedure set-ups.
  • Maintaining Department of Health (DOH) compliance of site lab and exam rooms, including logbook maintenance, checking for expired medications and supplies, and proper handling of specimens.
  • Escorting patients to exam rooms, x-rays, or other facilities as needed.
  • Maintaining a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility for the duration of scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
  • High School Degree or GED, with an undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required.
  • Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
  • Flexible with full-time work schedule, including a weekend day.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Passion for outstanding results and compassion for those we work with and serve.
Physical Requirements

The job may require lifting light to moderate amounts of weight to assist team members and maintaining a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility.

Pay Rate: $19.75/hr
