Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Operations Specialist to join our team in Rockford, WA.

This is a hands-on role that involves loading and unloading grain, agronomy, and feed products, as well as performing scheduled maintenance and repairs. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge on how to monitor and maintain grain quality, mix/load fertilizer, and chemical products while assisting the loading of trains.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations, with the ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile. A CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement is preferred. Agriculture experience is also a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently, including developing and maintaining knowledge of the commodities handled at the location and complying with company policy and government regulations.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner, preparing trucks and railcars for loading/unloading, and loading and unloading agricultural inputs from railcars and/or trucks.
  • Control and monitor all load out functions, understand and operate automated scale/dump systems, and conduct and properly record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain quality of inventory, deliver products to customer sites, and keep all work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
  • Promptly report any customer complaints, repair or maintenance needs, or safety concerns to supervisor, and maintain and promote a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • 1+ years of experience in Operations and/or Business Operations.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
  • CDL license or ability to attain one with Hazmat endorsement preferred.
  • Agriculture experience preferred.
