Job Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a skilled Custom Applicator/CDL Driver to join our team in Rockford, WA. As a key member of our agricultural team, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and crop protection products to local farmers' fields, while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with local farmers to understand their chemical and fertilizer needs
  • Manage time effectively in the field, operating a sprayer/airflow machine while loading and applying products safely, accurately, and efficiently
  • Gain hands-on experience and technical skills by handling various types of machinery and routine equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in agriculture production, operations, and/or agriculture application
  • Must meet minimum age requirement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Maintain or obtain a CDL and DOT medical card
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands
  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Hazmat, Tanker, and Air Brake endorsements preferred
  • Agriculture background and customer experience preferred
  • Bulk liquid, Pressure trailer, or Forklift experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and into the back of a trailer
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures
