About the Role:

UofL Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care with compassion and excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate an exceptional patient care experience by ensuring and assisting patient flow within the office.
  • Prepare patients for physician visits by documenting chief complaints, obtaining and documenting vital signs, and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Perform clinical duties such as injections, immunizations, medication administration, breathing treatments, and patient education.
  • Provide indirect patient care in the phone triage setting and work with physicians to discuss patient clinical conditions and symptomatology.
  • Responsible for scheduling patient appointments, requesting prescription refills, and completing clinical miscellaneous items.
  • Check and maintain crash carts, AEDs, and provide excellent documentation in every area of the office.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or completion of a nursing program over 18 months and up to 3 years in duration.
  • Current Kentucky Nursing License.
  • 1 year of LPN medical office experience preferred.

Certification: Basic Life Saving (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
