About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Department Leader to join our team at Lifespace Communities.

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Nursing will assist the Director of Nursing Services with all functions of the nursing department and assume responsibility when the director is unavailable.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing, directing, monitoring, and reporting on new techniques, nursing objectives, and standards of nursing care.
  • Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
  • Oversee assessment, coordination, planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation in case management and administer direct resident care.
  • Foster an environment that acknowledges and supports each resident's rights and choices regarding their surroundings and care.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and regulatory requirements and forecast team needs based on workload fluctuations.
  • Contribute to employment-related activities, including team member safety, hiring, performance management, corrective action, engagement, recognition, development, and training.

Requirements:

  • Nursing diploma or associate degree from an accredited nursing program; bachelor's or master's degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years of nursing experience in a long-term care facility, preferably with leadership roles.
  • Three years of leadership experience with progressive responsibilities in a long-term care facility.
  • Registered Nurse license, certifications, and other licensure required by state regulations.
