Asphalt Plant Operator

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team at the Walbec Group. As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used to produce asphalt mix for our paving operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain asphalt plant equipment to ensure efficient production of high-quality asphalt mix
- Monitor and control the production process to ensure consistency and quality of the final product
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with the production team to achieve production goals and objectives
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in asphalt plant operation and maintenance
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
- Punctuality and dependability
- Ability to work varied hours, including nights, early mornings, and weekends
- Capacity to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions and dirty and dusty environments
- Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated platforms
- Mechanical and fabricating experience preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
