Job Title: Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of behavioral health services across our system.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise in behavioral and medical needs assessment for behavioral health patients, identifying placement barriers and recommending the most appropriate treatment setting.
  • Work closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver on established performance and efficiency metrics, tracking, analyzing, and presenting data to demonstrate progress and areas for improvement.
  • Lead change management efforts, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure active engagement and broad commitment to a system-focused culture.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders systemwide to foster effective change management and develop new inpatient behavioral health admissions workflows.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
  • 5-year nurse leader experience in inpatient psychiatry units and/or emergency departments, required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with hospital-wide and other asset-based capacity challenges, and understanding of downstream effects on patient flow.
  • Data analytics skills, with experience and commitment to operating in a highly transparent and visible data-driven decision-making environment.
