About the Role

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Behavioral Health Access and Assessment Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral and Mental Health team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inpatient behavioral health services across our system.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expertise around the behavioral and medical needs of behavioral health patients, clearly identifying and communicating placement barriers and assessing most appropriate treatment settings.
  • Working closely with MGB BMH leadership to deliver on established performance and efficiency metrics, tracking, analyzing, and presenting data to demonstrate progress, impact, and areas for improvement.
  • Leading change management efforts, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders to ensure active engagement and broad commitment to system-focused culture.
  • Collaborating with clinical leaders systemwide to foster effective change management in the midst of systemwide integration, development, and consultation regarding new inpatient behavioral health admissions workflows.

Requirements include:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Massachusetts, required.
  • 5 years inpatient psychiatry unit and/or emergency department experience required.
  • 5-year Nurse leader experience required, such as flow coordinator, access nurse, bed control, supervisor in a psychiatric setting, inpatient behavioral health charge nurse or clinical coordinator.
