As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for directing daily operations, implementing lean methodologies, and developing continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Manage Manufacturing Departments: Direct and manage all manufacturing departments to ensure adequate resources, on-going work direction, and problem-solving to meet business goals.
  • Implement Lean Methodologies: Drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of lean methodologies and develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage Quality Systems: Manage quality systems and responsible for all out-of-box quality within these departments.
  • Strive for Excellence: Strive for an OTD (On-Time Delivery) of 95% or better through scheduling and execution.
  • Manage Productivity: Manage productivity levels with the departments and continuously improve productivity, flow, kanban, change-overs, predictive maintenance, etc.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff on safety standards and company policies and regularly emphasize safety and maintain accident/incident-free records.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Provide direction and leadership to the scheduling and inventory control department and manage resources to support schedules, priorities, and customers.
  • Develop and Implement Plans: Actively participate in and lead self-directed Kaizen events, lead/support the development of current and future state value stream maps and continuous improvement plans, and implement those plans across the value stream.
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Assure a clean and safe working environment for all employees, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions, and support the production safety programs.
  • Drive Improvements: Lead/support cross-functional performance Gemba and drive improvements.
  • Manage Resources: Manage assigned resources to or below budgetary levels, ensure accuracy and proper management of inventory and build schedules, and ensure timely disposition of scrap and non-conforming materials.
  • Develop and Deliver Performance Reviews: Develop and deliver complete, fair, accurate, and meaningful employee performance reviews.
Requirements
  • Lean Manufacturing Concepts: Experience with lean manufacturing concepts, including layouts, material, performance to Takt, etc.
  • Scheduling and Planning: Experience with scheduling and planning concepts, including material distribution (stockroom, finished goods inventory, shipping, and receiving).
  • Computer Skills: Proficient personal computer skills, including knowledge of routine database activity, Microsoft Outlook E-mail software, Internet software, Microsoft PowerPoint presentation software, Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software, and Microsoft Word Processing software.
  • ERP/Data Analytics Experience: ERP/data analytics experience is strongly preferred.
