Job Summary

Avient is a leading provider of specialized and sustainable material solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior International Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support complex accounting inter-company transactions, including tax and treasury initiatives.
  • Work as a member of a cross-functional team to support global transactions.
  • Translate complex accounting and intercompany transactions into journal entries and accounting memos.
  • Support legal entity restructuring projects and inter-company dividends, return of capital, and debt.
  • Exposure to foreign currency matters, translation and consolidation implications.
  • Complete review and analysis of fx gains and losses, while working with treasury on related hedging results.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to support Avient's consolidated audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Avient's internal control framework and identify opportunities for enhancements.
  • Support the month-end and quarter-end close process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience, preferably with Big Four Public Accounting or experience in an international organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work across numerous functions to achieve common goals.
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to change.
  • Continuously looking to improve processes and drive automation.
  • CPA preferred.
