Job Title: EHS Specialist

RED Rochester LLC is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for our employees, partners, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees on EHS policies and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans and coordinate drills and exercises to ensure preparedness.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation, and prepare reports and metrics to track EHS performance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in EHS roles, preferably in an industrial or utility setting.
Working Conditions:

The role will require exposure to industrial environments, requiring the use of personal protective equipment. Flexibility to respond to urgent EHS matters outside of standard working hours is required.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to conduct training and presentations. Analytical skills for risk assessment and problem-solving are also essential. Proficiency in EHS management systems and software is a plus.
