Contact Center Specialist - Member Services

This is a Temp to Perm opportunity.

We are seeking to recruit Client Relations Specialists to join a reputable organization dedicated to offering benefits and public pension services for retirees. The main role of the Client Relations Specialist is to serve as a bridge between the organization and its clientele (members, annuitants, and beneficiaries), promoting effective, informed, and collaborative relationships.

Compensation: $48,000 to $51,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Client Relations Specialist will primarily handle incoming phone inquiries and may also be tasked with managing emails, online chats, and other multi-channel contact center services as required.
  • This role involves assisting clients by providing information and guidance on topics such as member and retirement eligibility, transaction statuses, and benefit application processes.
  • Investigate and follow up on inquiries and issues related to refund claims, service purchase applications, basic disability claims, retirement claims, voluntary additional claims, and survivor claims.
  • Support members with solutions regarding direct deposits, tax withholding, financial verification requests, account inquiries, and assistance with forms and publications.
  • Troubleshoot and assist members facing issues with various incompatible web browsers.
  • Maintain accurate records and document call details as instructed.
  • Stay updated on benefits, legislative, and administrative changes, as well as current events affecting our benefit members.

Qualifications:
An Associate degree along with 1 year of customer service or pension plan administration experience, or 3 years of customer service/call center experience.
