About the Role:

This position requires a strong background in project or programme management, administration, or a related area, with a minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience. You will work closely with entities and managers who have been delegated authority to assess and address problems when detected, recommending corrective action and/or accountability measures when warranted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate systems for managing delegations of decision-making authority
  • Participate in the development and publication of comprehensive catalogues of all delegations from the Secretary-General in assigned administrative areas
  • Advise managers on the parameters and proper exercise of delegated authority
  • Ensure official records of all delegations of authority are recorded, maintained, and updated as appropriate

Requirements:

  • Mandatory qualifications include an advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, public administration, management, or a related field
  • A Level 4 Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) qualification or equivalent is required
  • Certification in project management (PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent) is desirable
