Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist II to join our team at St. Peter's Hospital. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing CT procedures with precision and accuracy, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and record complete clinical histories pertinent to examinations requested
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist
  • Instruct patients on the nature of the exam being performed and effectively communicate information regarding post-procedures
  • Ensure proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers, and self
  • Responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in dosimetry program
  • Effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements
  • Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary to provide safe, accurate, and complete exams
  • Assist in the instruction of new personnel
Requirements
  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
  • Current ARRT registration, NYS license required, and certification to Inject
  • Experience on Siemens equipment preferred
