We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist II to join our team at Albany Memorial Hospital. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing all CT procedures in accordance with department standards.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested.
- Evaluate requests for appropriateness and refer concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist.
- Instruct patients as to the nature of the exam being performed.
- Effectively communicate information regarding post procedures.
- Ensure proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers and self.
- Responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in dosimetry program.
- Effectively complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements.
- Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary to provide safe, accurate, and complete exams.
- Assist in the instruction of new personnel.
- AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist.
- Current ARRT registration, NYS license required and certification to Inject.
- Experience on Siemen's equipment preferred.
The pay rate for this position is $44.00 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education.
