Genuine Parts Company is seeking an experienced Automotive Assistant Site Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Integrated Business Solutions (IBS) location, you will play a vital role in providing management assistance and driving business growth.

About the Job

This is a salaried position with an estimated annual salary of $60,000-$80,000 based on experience and qualifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing quality personnel, setting high performance standards, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the site, stockroom, and outside areas.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Satisfaction: Respond promptly to customer purchase and service questions, ensuring timely resolutions and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Inventory Management/ROI: Maintain accurate inventory levels, optimize ROI, and implement strategies to minimize inventory shrinkage.
  • Vendor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with local non-NAPA vendors, negotiating pricing, inventory, and service agreements.
  • Operations Management: Assume responsibility for operational issues, asset management, and inventory protection, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical school or college degree a plus.
  • Certifications: ASE certification within twelve months.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing two or more people and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, staff, and vendors.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet-based research tools, with experience using customer fleet management software.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced fleet shop environment, exposed to loud noise, fumes, and airborne particles. Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear, with occasional sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawling.
