Job Overview

Position: Supervisor - County Clerk


Salary Range: $34,175.00 Minimum Salary, or as per Compensation Policy Promotional Method.


Role Purpose

This position entails overseeing administrative functions within the County Clerk's office. The Supervisor is responsible for managing records efficiently, ensuring proper storage and retrieval, and addressing discrepancies in documentation.


Key Responsibilities

The following tasks are typical for this role. The absence of specific duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar or related:


  1. Oversee the organization and distribution of tasks within the department to ensure timely and effective job performance; implement necessary policies and procedures to align with legal standards and office protocols.
  2. Prepare and submit weekly updates to management regarding departmental progress, along with monthly reports to state authorities; manage Cash Bonds from municipalities and adapt business processes as required.
  3. Perform a variety of clerical functions to support daily operations, including financial reporting, compliance with state laws, and other administrative responsibilities.
  4. Draft and prepare correspondence and memoranda for the supervisor's review; facilitate communication with county departments as necessary; provide administrative support to the County Clerk.
  5. Assist the County Clerk with special projects and programs, including organizing community outreach initiatives and planning state conferences and staff training sessions.
  6. Provide guidance and information to employees, managers, vendors, and citizens regarding County Clerk functions; act as a liaison between supervisors, vendors, and other departments to clarify policies and procedures.

Additional Duties

Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Public Administration, Accounting, or a related field, along with two years of experience in clerical or administrative support; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities for this role.


Physical and Sensory Requirements

Tasks require the ability to exert moderate physical effort, including lifting and carrying objects of medium weight. Responsibilities may involve extended periods of climbing, balancing, and performing various physical activities.


Environmental Considerations

Essential functions are typically performed in a controlled environment without exposure to adverse conditions.
