Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teacher to join our team at Putnam City Schools. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and promotes academic excellence.
  • Assess student progress regularly, utilizing district specialists as needed to ensure accurate evaluations.
  • Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents to address academic and personal concerns.
  • Collaborate with administration to implement school policies and procedures, and develop reasonable classroom rules and expectations.
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of teacher assistants and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in education, attending staff meetings and participating in professional development opportunities.
  • In the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation, be prepared to work remotely to ensure continuity of services.
Terms of Employment

This is a ten-month position with a salary and work year aligned with the current schedule. Performance will be evaluated annually for tenured staff and semi-annually for professional personnel.
