Electrical Engineer I

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our team at GTN Technical Staffing. As an Electrical Engineer I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement digital circuit designs of varying degrees of complexity involving microelectronics and optoelectronic devices.
- Utilize computer-aided design software as an integral part of the design and development process.
- Perform functional tests on relevant electronic assemblies and document results to ISO 9001 standards.
- Research component specifications for use in designs.
- Prepare all supporting documentation for any work done.
- Provide estimates of task duration.
- Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions.
- Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies.
- Use manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to, test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test apparatus.
- Interface with customers verbally and in writing in a friendly, professional manner to answer technical questions and assist in troubleshooting problems.
- Interface and communicate with other engineering teams located in multiple cities.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university.
- Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Learns to use professional concepts and applies company policies/procedures to resolve routine issues.
- Works on problems of diverse scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds good working relationships internally.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
