Patent Analyst

We are seeking a skilled Patent Analyst with a focus in Computing, Electrical Communication, Electronic Engineering, or Physics to support our team at Clarivate Analytics US LLC.

This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your technical knowledge by researching and analyzing cutting-edge technologies.

As a remote independent contractor, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive searches and written opinions on the patentability of diverse technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field, and 1+ year of experience working with patents or in the intellectual property field.

Key responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive searches to locate relevant prior art
• Preparing written opinions applying the most relevant prior art to the disclosure
• Maintaining proficiency with commercial patent searching databases and proprietary databases of technical publications
• Staying abreast of best practices and changes to search procedures

Required equipment includes a computer running up-to-date versions of Windows or Mac OS, a reliable high-speed internet connection, and a secure work location.

This is a remote position, but all work must be completed in the United States.
