Overview

The Principal Data Security Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data within Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. This position requires a strong understanding of data security principles, technologies, and best practices to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze data to identify security threats and vulnerabilities
  • Develop and implement data security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on data security best practices
  • Monitor and report on data security incidents and trends
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure data security needs are met

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data security, with a focus on risk management and compliance
  • Strong understanding of data security technologies, including encryption, access control, and threat detection
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • CISSP or CISM certification
  • Experience with data security frameworks and standards, such as NIST and ISO 27001
