About the Role

Rivermont Schools is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Consultant to join our team. As a Behavioral Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing behavioral services to students and supporting teachers and classroom support personnel in achieving optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect behavioral services to students in individual or group settings, including assessment, programming, and supervision.
  • Supervise assigned staff, including Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), and other classroom leaders, to support identified goals and objectives.
  • Oversight of student ABA programs in the classroom, including paraprofessional support and data analysis.
  • Assess students to identify learning and program needs, and develop initial programming and ongoing modifications as needed.
  • Provide direct intervention, instruction, and supervision to classroom support personnel, and monitor program and progress.
  • Develop and implement functional behavior assessments and related behavior intervention plans, and create social skills and/or skill-based assessments as needed.
  • Provide consultation to teachers and other behavior support or classroom support personnel, and assist with development of behavior strategies and IEP goals.
  • Provide instruction for Response to Intervention (RTI) and Behavioral Skills Training (BST) for classroom staff on identified interventions.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in psychology, Special Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or other related fields of study.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • 2 years' experience in working with children, adolescents, and/or adults with various special needs.
