Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Join the Alabama Department of Education as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and play a vital role in supporting students with autism, communication disorders, and behavioral concerns.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our instructional support services, you will work closely with school personnel to implement effective behavior intervention plans and provide training and support in behavior management strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with school personnel to identify and assess students' social, behavioral, emotional, and academic problems
  • Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to address behavioral and social problems
  • Provide training and support in behavior management strategies to school personnel
  • Work with community agencies and day cares to address behavior concerns of students
  • Consult with school and district personnel, parents, and community agencies
  • Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education records, reports, and services
Requirements:
  • Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate with endorsement in special education
  • Completed certification in Applied Behavior Analysis, preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience working with students with autism, communication disorders, developmental delays, and/or behavioral concerns
  • Experience in writing and implementing effective behavior plans
  • Trained in prevention and management of aggressive behavior
  • Team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of effective strategies for academic, communication, and behavior intervention
